🎶🎄Celebrate the holiday season and 10 years of rhymeCulture on Thursday 12/19/19 at the Blues Cafe in Newport, Rhode Island! This special event will feature a headliner performance by Chachi Carvalho and DJ Cadillac Jack – one of the most talented duos to ever come out of Rhode Island! Chachi recently announced his candidacy for mayor of Pawtucket so it’s an extra honor to have him involved with this show. Also, look forward to rhymeCulture All-Star sets with brief performances by Freddie Black, DirtyDurdie, Kee-Words, An Artist Named FLIZZ, REZIZTANZE, Risky Biz, United Soul Alliance, B-Mor7, Square One, Bear Jones, 5th Elament and a special guest or two! Closing out the night will be the Last Call Cypher which is open to ALL EMCEES that want to get onstage and rock the mic. We’ll be filming this and then posting the footage online with $ behind it so don’t miss this chance to be part of something historic for Newport, Rhode Island. Classic Hip Hop music all night by DJ Donnie Battle and D-Napp, live art, giveaways and more! Hope to see you there. Collectively rhymeCulture represents many people acting together to offer an alternative to the mainstream, watered down commercialism of popular music today. We aren’t defined by a single genre, but we tend to focus on hip hop, reggae, funk and electronic music. We work with bands, DJs, promoters, clothing designers, visual artists, community organizers and event venues.
